Presentation
Fondation FondaMental, in partnership with Wakam, supports collaborative projects between French and British teams dedicated to the discovery, validation, and implementation of blood biomarkers in mental health.
This award follows the signing of the Franco-British consortium on October 27, 2025, at the French Embassy in the United Kingdom.
Objectives
- Discover and validate blood biomarkers.
- Promote high-level Franco-British scientific cooperation.
- Develop precision psychiatry that provides the right diagnosis and the right treatment for each patient.
Funding
- A total of €250,000 will be awarded to the two partner laboratories. The budget will be allocated between the partners according to the detailed budget provided in the application dossier.
- The awardees will also receive personalized support from Fondation FondaMental FondaMental teams for the communication, promotion, and dissemination of their results.
Eligibility criteria
- The project must involve at least one laboratory/team/department based in France and one in the United Kingdom.
- The consortium must demonstrate complementary expertise and effective collaboration.
- Eligible topics include the discovery, validation, and/or clinical application of blood biomarkers for mental disorders or transnosographic dimensions.
- Project leaders (PIs) may submit up to two distinct proposals under this call for applications.
