On January 15, the Expert Centers in Psychiatry at the Charles Perrens Hospital Center were honored to present their model, their integration into the healthcare system, and the added value they bring to people affected by psychiatric illnesses and neurodevelopmental disorders.
This unique exchange brought together caregivers, researchers, clinicians, users, hospital staff, and private practitioners to discuss the challenges of therapeutic innovation and improving access to psychiatric care.
As part of the second year of the Grande Cause nationale (Great National Cause), this meeting was also an opportunity, in front of a large audience of healthcare professionals and researchers, as well as the Dean of the Bordeaux Faculty of Medicine, to highlight the strong commitment of public authorities to psychiatric research, particularly through the PEPR PROPSY program.
Marion Leboyer presented the program’s objectives and the progress made in the field of precision psychiatry: a more personalized approach to the diagnosis and treatment of people living with bipolar disorder, resistant depression, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorders without intellectual disability.
