The Region is strengthening the scientific and technological capabilities of the Île-de-France research ecosystem by supporting research projects that require significant capital investment.
The main objective of the SESAME initiative is to make the Île-de-France region a global leader in science and technology by providing laboratories with the necessary resources to develop new projects and implement innovative experimental research setups.
This call for projects is consistent with other regional funding tools for scientific equipment, including the State-Region Plan Contract, the regionalized PIA (SESAME Filières France 2030), Genopole, Major Research and Innovation Areas, and the ERDF program.
By co-financing state-of-the-art equipment and shared platforms open to the scientific community as well as to businesses in the Île-de-France region, the Region contributes to the development of the various centers of excellence in the Île-de-France region and enhances their appeal.
