PEPR PROPSY at the 2026 Neuroscience, Psychiatry, and Neurology Days: Precision Psychiatry at the Forefront of Scientific Advances.

On June 25–26, 2026, the PEPR PROPSY took part in the JNPN, alongside F-PsyNET and the Fondation FondaMental.

📍 Palais des Congrès de Paris – Booth 2

During the event, several researchers presented their work in sessions organized by the PEPR PROPSY and the Fondation FondaMental.

📅 Thursday, June 25 – 9:30 a.m.
✔️ Laurent Boyer chaired the symposium “Artificial Intelligence and Multimodal Databases: Toward Personalized Psychiatry,” which explored the potential of artificial intelligence to transform psychiatric research and patient care.

The symposium highlighted how AI can help better characterize psychiatric disorders, identify biological signatures, stratify patients, and develop predictive models by integrating clinical, biological, imaging, and digital data.

  • Marine Fidelle presented the contribution of multimodal analyses in precision oncology, demonstrating how microbiome research combined with artificial intelligence can improve our understanding of treatment responses.
  • Cathy Philippe presented her research on the neurogenetic correlates of mood dysregulation, illustrating the value of integrating genetic data with clinical phenotypes.

📅 Thursday, June 25 – 11:15 a.m.
✔️ Laurent Groc delivered a keynote lecture on autoimmune psychoses, highlighting recent advances in biomarker discovery and the opportunities offered by precision psychiatry.

He illustrated how research is improving our understanding of the heterogeneity of psychiatric disorders. In particular, the identification of antibodies targeting NMDA receptors is opening new avenues for understanding the diversity of mental and neurodevelopmental disorders, refining diagnosis, and developing innovative therapeutic strategies.

These advances reflect a genuine paradigm shift in our understanding of these disorders.

📅 Friday, June 26 – 4:00 p.m.
✔️ Baptiste Pignon chaired the symposium “Environment and Psychiatric Disorders: What Role Do Physical Exposures Play?”, emphasizing the importance of integrative approaches to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

  • Ariane Guilbert reviewed current knowledge on the effects of air pollution, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, and environmental contaminants on neurodevelopment.
  • Jean-Charles Roy presented evidence showing how climate change is associated with an increased risk of psychiatric disorders and suicidal behaviors, drawing on approaches that integrate epidemiological, biological, and environmental data.
  • Maxime Taquet presented findings from large-scale cohort studies demonstrating that certain infections are risk factors for psychiatric disorders, opening new perspectives for anticipating the mental health impacts of future epidemics.

Jasmina Mallet and Benoît Broyart were also present to sign copies of the graphic novel Le monde est psy! an educational initiative aimed at raising awareness and reducing stigma, supported by the PEPR PROPSY.

The JNPN provided a unique forum for dialogue among the neuroscience, psychiatry, and neurology communities. The meeting showcased the strength of interdisciplinary approaches in advancing precision psychiatry by bringing together artificial intelligence, immunology, genetics, environmental sciences, and clinical research.

This collaborative momentum is fully aligned with the ambition of the PEPR PROPSY: to transform mental health care through the development of precision psychiatry, driven by cutting-edge research and tailored to the needs of each individual patient.
