This call for projects, financed by the France 2030 plan, aims to support innovative projects in the digital field of mental health and psychiatry, and to encourage the accelerated emergence of leading companies in their field, with the potential to achieve global stature, by speeding up one of the development and market access phases.
The aim of the action is to bring together users, designers, evaluators and funders, to propose digital medical devices for mental health and psychiatry that meet the challenges and needs identified.
Projects concerned
Projects can focus on the following themes : prevention, screening/diagnosis, care and remote monitoring using digital medical devices (DMDs) in the field of mental health (psychological disorders, addictive disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders).
These projects must offer an adapted response to medical needs identified by literature data, for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, healthcare establishments, social and medico-social establishments and services (ESSMS), in the mental health or psychiatry sector.
Particular attention will be paid to projects that meet the specific needs of children, adolescents and young adults in terms of screening, prevention, diagnosis, care, follow-up and recovery in the context of young people’s mental health.
Development stages
Stage 1 : development of future digital medical devices for mental health, based on previous work with a TRL level of over 4/5,
Stage 2 : clinical evaluation to obtain CE marking for future digital medical device,
Stage 3 : budgetary impact analysis (BIA) of the device (post-CE marking) in the intended mental health indication. Studies aimed at demonstrating the medico-economic benefit may be financed under the Eval DM call for projects.
Support methods
The allocation system is flat-rate and respects this breakdown :
- 60% in the form of grants,
- 40% in the form of repayable advances.
