PEPR PROPSY was a partner of the 21st Pariscience Festival, organized by the Association Science et Télévision, at the National Museum of Natural History and the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris.
The festival, which brings science to the public, offers a selection of the best French and international scientific audiovisual productions.
Its ambition is to challenge, inform, debate, and provide keys to understanding current scientific issues and their societal impacts.
PEPR PROPSY organized a conference entitled “Understanding and destigmatizing psychiatric disorders” as part of a focus on mental health on October 24, 2025.
On the agenda:
- Schizophrenia, with Jasmina Mallet and Jean-Christophe Leroy.
- Psychiatry and genetics, with Boris Chaumette.
- Urban environments and schizophrenia, with Franck Schürhoff.
- The stigmatization of psychiatric illnesses, with Jasmina Mallet and Jean-Christophe Leroy.
A presentation of the different forms of schizophrenia, the genetic origins of mental illness, the link with urbanity, and the need for destigmatization.
