Calls for proposals
Context

As part of PEPR PROPSY program, the French-American Doctoral Exchange (FADex) program opens a call for applications for PhD students, currently enrolled in a U.S. university or research institution, for a scientific immersion in France dedicated to Precision Psychiatry.

The Embassy of France in the United States will award 10 grants to support participation in the FADex Precision Psychiatry immersion. The internship will take place from June 8 to 12, 2026.

Program overview

During this one-week immersion, selected PhD students will:

  • visit leading French research laboratories and clinical centers in precision psychiatry,
  • engage with French research teams involved in PEPR PROPSY,
  • attend high-level scientific presentations and thematic workshops,
  • present their own doctoral research,
  • explore opportunities for future French-American scientific collaborations.
Eligibility and Selection

Applicants must be PhD students currently enrolled in a U.S. university or research institution, working in precision psychiatry, neuroscience applied to psychiatric disorders, or any other discipline linked with psychiatry.

Applications will be evaluated based on academic excellence, scientific relevance and originality of the doctoral project, and motivation and potential for future French-American collaboration.

  • A curriculum vitae
  • A cover letter
  • A 3-minute video to present the doctoral research project and future research aspirations
  • Proof of enrollment at a U.S. university or research institution
  • Signed statement of endorsement from the applicant’s Supervisor
  • Applications must be submitted no later than March 15th, 2026
