The Region supports scientific employment in line with the needs of businesses by co-financing doctoral grants involving an academic laboratory and a socio-economic partner.
The Region co-finances between €100,000 and €120,000 maximum for 36-month doctoral research grants for projects with a digital dimension on the themes detailed below in the call for projects:
- Impact of climate change and exceptional events (wind, heat waves, etc.) on buildings and infrastructure.
- Health prevention (including mental health, infectious diseases, etc.).
- Educational innovation and the use of digital technology in teaching and training (school and higher education).
- Economic and organizational models for energy, digital, and ecological transitions.
- Impacts of the new Île-de-France transport map on territorial dynamics (Grand Paris Express and new RER lines).
Young scientists pursuing their doctorate shared between a higher education research institution and a socio-economic organization based in the Île-de-France region.
In accordance with European criteria for scientific and technological jobs, there are no restrictions based on the nationality, age, or gender of applicants.
Applicants for this grant must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent, but not a PhD,
- Enroll in a doctoral school in the Île-de-France region, in the first year of a PhD program at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year,
- Commit to starting their doctoral research in January 2027 at the latest.
Funding for doctoral salaries, between €100,000 and €120,000 maximum per doctoral student, to cover their research activities.
Regional funding is granted to the institutions employing the selected doctoral students.
Co-funding over the three years (excluding any management costs) is expected from socio-economic partners (doctoral student salary, related costs, etc.).
For companies, this will be a minimum of €20,000 over three years.
