CNRS, through CNRS Innovation and the Human Resources Department, is organizing PhDiscovery, a training program designed to introduce doctoral students to research valorization and entrepreneurship. It will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the Hôtel du Cheval Blanc, near Marne-la-Vallée.
Over the course of four days, participants will attend masterclasses and workshops led by innovation experts. Topics will include the innovation ecosystem, intellectual property protection, business models, and project financing. Doctoral students will work in groups, supported by coaches, to develop a fictional entrepreneurial project based on an intellectual property asset. On the fifth day, each group will present its project in a pitch session before a jury.
The training is open to first- and second-year doctoral students, employed by the CNRS or within the framework of a PEPR, in all fields of study.
Applications will be evaluated based on:
-
The doctoral student’s motivation
-
Their curiosity about new technologies
-
Their professional project
Doctoral students must inform their thesis supervisor of their participation, as the training takes place during the workweek.
The training is fully funded, including accommodation and meals.
Only travel expenses are the responsibility of the laboratory.
