With the Île-de-France Innovators Award, the Region honors three individuals and their teams for the exceptional quality of their work and its impact in the field of health.

Type of project

The Innovators Award aims to encourage, support, and promote research, technology transfer, and the emergence of innovations in health that have a significant impact on society and public health.

This award aims to:

  • Contribute to the recognition of researchers and their teams conducting research in the health sector.
  • Encourage the creation of spin-offs from academic laboratories by ensuring the best conditions for spin-offs, in particular through the acquisition of the skills required by all team members.
  • Strengthen the region’s attractiveness by facilitating the collective strength of existing teams or attracting new talent to the region
  • Encourage female researchers to embark on entrepreneurship

All scientific and technological fields in health (medicine, medtech, biotech, digital, etc.) will be considered.

Public
  • Researchers, clinicians, research engineers, and their teams must be affiliated with public or private non-profit institutions located in the Île-de-France region.
  • Their work has contributed, contributes, or aims to contribute to the market introduction of health innovations that are remarkable in nature or impact.
  • The researcher must be no older than 45 years of age on December 31, 2026.

This age limit is extended by 12 months per child for female candidates who can provide proof of maternity leave. Supporting documents must be provided when submitting the project.

Funding
  • 1 prize of €50,000: €10,000 awarded directly to the researcher, and €40,000 for the collective success of the project, awarded to the researcher’s affiliated institution.
  • Two prizes of €25,000 each: €5,000 awarded directly to the researcher and €20,000 for the collective success of the project, awarded to the researcher’s affiliated institution.
